I decided to tackle the Sierra Cascade Route because being from the East Coast I haven't had a chance to see much of the west coast. This route is a diverse path allowing me to experience the many different landscapes the Sierra Cascades has to offer.

Some vital stats for the Sierra Cascade Routs:

  • 2,398 total miles
  • Begins at Canadian/U.S. boarder in Sumas, Washington
  • Ends at the Mexico/U.S. boarder in Tecate, Mexico
  • Crosses 20 mountain passes
  • Crosses Pacific Crest Trail 25 times
